October in Marietta is 31 full days of fun. As we near Halloween, the fun only becomes more abundant! Here are a few Halloween events in Marietta that are sure to put you in a spooky mood!

Movie “Frights” at the Strand

If you have never been to a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show, now is your chance! Where better than the Strand Theatre to experience one of the most storied theatrical traditions. Rocky Horror will kick off Halloween weekend at Midnight on Friday, October 29th. However, the fun does not stop there. On Sunday, October 31st you can see The Phantom of The Opera in the only remaining theatre in Georgia to accompany silent films with a live organ. Visit the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre website to buy tickets to these shows and more!

Hare-O-Ween

If you are looking for some outdoor fun, Red Hare has you covered! They will be hosting the 2-Hazy-5K on the morning of Saturday, October 30th in downtown Marietta. The 5K will benefit Bottleshare and will end with a party at the Red Hare Still on The Square. Red Hare will keep the party going at their original brewery on Sunday, October 31st with a family-friendly Hare-O-Ween party. The party will offer specialty spooky cocktails, candy & beer pairings, dog costume contest and pumpkin painting for kids. The event will run 12:30-7:30pm. Visit Red Hare’s Facebook events page for more info!

Marietta “Scare” Market

If you plan your holiday happenings around food (us too), then the Marietta Square Market is where you will want to be. Choose to have your lunch at any of the market’s 18 restaurants from 1-3pm on Sunday, October 31st, and you will be given free candy! In fact, you can pick up candy from each of the restaurants inside! How could Trick or Treat be more fun? By doing it in a safe, family-friendly way, surrounded by food! Check out Market events on their website.

Glover Park “Boo”-ery

Enter a costume contest and enjoy a delicious adult beverage on Saturday, October 30th at Glover Park Brewery. Glover Park is always a good time but is even more fun when there is an opportunity to wear a costume and potentially win a gift card! Head back to Glover Park on Sunday, October 31st from 4-7pm to Trick-or-Treat and listen to live music! Sunday’s event will be held in the upper taproom.
