Not a Hot Toddy… the 2nd Annual Marietta Bartenders Competition
November 4, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$50
Last year, 5 of Marietta Square’s most talented bartenders took on the challenge of creating a cocktail that was warming in some way but was not actually hot. We heard stories of family heritage and tasted flavors of apple spice, chai, and tahini just to name a few!
This year features a slightly streamlined format in 2 rounds… round 1 welcomes 3 new competitors from the neighborhood who – like in year 1 – will be given a featured spirit and tasked with creating their “not a hot toddy” warming cocktail for our judges. Round 2 teams up these new competitors as they face off against some of our contestants from last year. The Freshmen vs the Sophomores teams will will be given a handful of spirits and other ingredients and will have 15 minutes to come up with a warming “not a hot toddy” cocktail on the spot. As the judges rate their creations, the teams will prepare samples for your vote as well!
Our panel of sponsor-judges includes Jeff Stockton of Spiribam, Katie Mcloughlin of Heaven Hill, Ryan Meegan of Makers Mark, and Eric Heine of Bond and Royal!
Your ticket includes:
- Two drink tickets for cocktails from the Church Street Vacation menu
- One meal ticket for dinner from our featured food truck
- One raffle ticket for awesome prizes provided by our sponsors
- Two tasting portions of the freshman vs sophomore cocktails and a vote in naming the winning team!
